How You Can Help

Scholarships: each student from East, Central and Southern Africa costs $12500 per year for a course of two years. Running costs for our training courses. Grants for relevant projects e.g. scabies control.

There is a need for improved facilities for education research and service at other sites where the IFD missions will be carried out. The IFD is constantly updating its objectives and welcomes suggestions for projects, especially if supported by the names of people interested in carrying them out and indications of how they might be funded
Why should I help?

In the vast majority of cases, skin diseases in developing countries can be diagnosed and effectively treated by simple and inexpensive means.

However, such prevention and treatment requires dermatologically trained personnel at all health care levels. The doctors and nurses teaching on our programmes are dedicated and receive either no remuneration, or a minimal amount for essential support.

Your generous assistance will ensure that their work continues to make that critical difference. It will also ensure that work developed in one area can be extended to other parts of the world. Perhaps you would be willing to disseminate this information to an interested colleague, friend, or patient.
