October 2006

Our Aim    Who needs our help?    What are RTDC?

Who needs our help?

  • Three billion people in 345 developing countries lack basic care for their skin diseases.
  • Most have little to no access to health care workers with skills in the management of these conditions.
  • Skin disease is very common; sexually transmitted diseases are also common and on the increase.
  • Both cause major functional disability and disfigurement unless treated.
  • Poor or inadequate treatment is a significant cost to household budgets
Proven dermatological regimens can bring quick relief at low cost.
