Our Aim    Who needs our help?    What are RTDC?

What are RDTC?

RDTC are Regional Dermatology Training Centers.

  • The principal function of an RDTC is to teach basic dermatology to local primary care workers and to devise methods of improving the skin health of the local populace.

  • RDTCs are all-purpose basic facilities which serve large, rural populations.
In Moshi, Tanzania: Medical Assistants and Clinical Officers from East, West, Central and Southern African countries are housed and enrolled in a two-year training program. A residency training programme in dermatology has been started.(http://www.global-campus.org/rdtc)

  • There is also a key role in developing treatment methods which can be extended for use in other regions.
